The principal Northern Territory Act regulating racing and wagering, in force from 1 July 2024. It establishes the Northern Territory Racing and Wagering Commission (NTRWC), provides for the licensing of sports bookmakers, betting exchange operators and on-course bookmakers, sets the events on which wagering may be offered, continues the responsible-gambling Codes of Practice, and underpins the resolution of betting disputes between punters and licensees. It repealed the Racing and Betting Act 1983.
