The principal South Australian Act governing licensed betting operations and bookmaking (the Authorised Betting Operations Act 2000). It provides for the major betting operations licence and for the licensing and conduct of bookmakers, with rules of betting, the betting code of practice and operational requirements. It operates together with the overarching Gambling Administration Act 2019, under which the Commissioner issues codes of practice and guidelines.
