The principal Tasmanian Act providing for the licensing, supervision and control of gambling, including wagering and betting (the Gaming Control Act 1993, Act No 94 of 1993). Following the Future Gaming Market reforms (implemented from 1 July 2023 as amendments to this Act), wagering and betting are conducted under the Tasmanian Gaming Licence endorsement system. Administered by the Tasmanian Liquor and Gaming Commission.
